CAREERS / AUTOMOTIVE

Software Validation Engineer

Advance automotive software validation through SIL/HIL testing, AI-driven automation, intelligent test generation, and connected engineering toolchains.

Cairo, EgyptFull-timeAutomotive

About the role

We are seeking a forward-thinking Software Validation Engineer who bridges the gap between traditional automotive embedded systems and advanced AI-driven automation. In this role, you will execute robust physical and virtual validation while helping architect the next generation of autonomous testing workflows across complex, distributed vehicle architectures.

Employment: Permanent

Location: Cairo, Egypt

What you'll do

  • Automated traceability orchestration. Architect and maintain automated traceability pipelines across Ford's engineering toolchains, including IBM DOORS, IBM Rhapsody, and Git, ensuring continuous synchronization between functional requirements, architectural designs, and software implementations.
  • Intelligent test generation. Use structured contexts from upstream development tools to autonomously generate comprehensive Vector test suites and complex operational scenario profiles, reducing manual script writing while expanding edge-case coverage.
  • Continuous-loop validation. Configure, execute, and maintain automated regression loops across Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments. Subject embedded software to boundary conditions and simulated environmental limits to ensure safety-critical system reliability.
  • Next-generation workflow automation. Design and deploy scalable, agentic AI workflows using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to securely connect internal engineering toolchains with LLMs, enabling automated requirements parsing, predictive script generation, and intelligent log analysis.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automotive Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Proven proficiency with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer and dSPACE SCALEXIO systems for HIL testing, alongside extensive experience configuring virtualized SIL simulation environments.
  • Hands-on familiarity with video signal-integrity testing, high-bandwidth diagnostics, and serial protocols such as GMSL or FPD-Link for ADAS and camera validation.
  • Deep understanding of MCP and experience building context-aware, agentic automation systems that can safely parse engineering data, generate test scripts, and perform root-cause analysis on complex validation logs.
  • Strong Python skills for test automation and AI orchestration, Git-based version control, and CI/CD pipelines configured for automotive validation.

Preferred experience

  • Experience in the automotive IVI domain is highly desirable.

Who you are

  • An analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and reliability in validation and debugging.
  • A collaborative team player who communicates clearly and effectively.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to evolving technologies.
  • Curious and eager to learn, with a passion for innovation.
  • Resilient and resourceful when facing technical challenges.
